First, the great news: This month’s full moon falls on April 21 in Scorpio, enabling many of us to have a romantic experience that’s nothing short of cosmic. And we’ll need that divinely amorous inspiration to cope with everything else going down in the heavens this month. Mars, planet of action, has been retrograde since April 17 and won’t go direct until June 29 – which means all of us, of every sign, must work even harder than usual to realize our dearest goals. Meanwhile, mischievous Mercury goes retrograde for three weeks starting April 28, so this is a double whammy. On all fronts, progress will seem like it’s slowing down to a crawl.
But the universe has a plan.
Just what is all this astro-action trying to tell us? We must look back on past relationships and projects, and work with all our might to make them better. Luckily, we’re now in Taurus season, and the bull happens to be one of the most hard-working signs of the entire zodiac. Read on to learn how incorporating bullish tendencies – especially the color chocolate! – can help you navigate this eventful month in style.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAURUS!
April 20 – May 20
Like her spirit animal, the bull, Taurus is a hard worker – determined, loyal, and strong—and craves comfy clothes to relax in after a long day at the office. But those comfy threads had better be figure-flattering and sexy: Taurus is a super sensual sign with superb snuggling skills, so retreating to bed rarely means catching strictly Z’s. Her wardrobe will be well-stocked with lace-trimmed sweet nothings for her lover to peel or tear off; her fridge, meanwhile, will be well-stocked with sweet somethings—chocolatey things, to be exact. Taurus is the zodiac’s chocoholic, so you can’t go wrong with any gift made of cacao, particularly if it’s fair trade. Got a first date with a Taurus? Bring a dark chocolate bar or two. A whiz in the kitchen, she’ll use them to bake you brownies or a cake, or – if you’re very good - maybe a mole-smothered Mexican feast lovingly created with copper cookware (the lustrous, reddish-orange metal is a Taurus signature).
Even the color of chocolate is a Taurean turn-on: her choc-obsession carries over into her wardrobe, which resembles a rhapsody in shades of brown. From dark boots and belts to mocha bags, Taureans are partial to the color brown. An earth sign, the bull is always mindful of her element – Taurean Nikki Reed, for instance, is a big believer in planet-friendly sustainable fashion and even designs vegan handbags. Taurus loves spending time in nature, planting a garden and playing with animal friends. In fact, it’s tough to trap Taurus in the city; she craves a life in the countryside, where she’s usually the envy of her neighbors for keeping her youthful good looks well into old age. What’s her secret? All that play time with her beloved beasts, naturally! For playing or working, long, lean leggings are terrifically Taurean, and brilliant in brown … as are all of the items highlighted below for the other 11 signs.
GEMINI May 21-June 20
The sign of the twins is irresistibly attracted to accessories, especially ones that come in pairs: shoes… cufflinks… earrings! Teardrops made of chocolatey-brown wood are a delightfully dynamic duo.
CANCER – June 21-July 22
Moon children adore cooking and entertaining, treating friends and family to delicious home-made meals. A saucy brown apron with a red pattern lets them hide food stains in style.
LEO – July 23-August 22
Ruled by the sun, the zodiac’s lions are in their element soaking up its radiant rays – and protecting their eyes means never sacrificing style, so select stunning sunnies.
VIRGO – August 23-September 22
An avid gardener and tree-hugger, this earth sign loves reaping what she sows. A necklace with a heart-shaped pendant that’s an actual seed? That’s so Virgo!
LIBRA – September 23-October 22
The zodiac’s most fashionable sign, Libra rarely leaves an outfit un-belted – and appreciates a unique conversation starter of a waist-cincher made of Balinese coconut fiber and wood.
SCORPIO – October 23-November 21
A light brown scarf with intricately-embroidered red accents is the perfectly seductive accessory for the sexy Scorpion.Sagittarius –November 22-December 21
SAGITTARIUS – November 22-December 21
Symbolized by the centaur, half human and half horse, Sadge has equitation in her blood, and is naturally drawn to riding boots to complete an outfit.
CAPRICORN – December 22-January 19
The zodiac’s Goat is a traditionalist at heart, so a soft, feminine, ladylike dress is a wonderful wardrobe staple.
AQUARIUS – January 20-February 18
For the water-bearer, nothing is complete without a splash of blue – how about wedge sandals that combine brown with shades of her favorite color?
PISCES – February 19-March 20
The fish require their footwear to be barefoot-comfortable, especially when the subject is heels. A slip-on wedge delivers comfort with style to spare.
ARIES – March 21-April 19
Rams tend to have wonderfully whittled waists, so why not accent this fabulous feature with a skinny belt?
